A day cycling on Aitutaki

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands

I've read it takes about an hour to cycle around the Island. Sounds like a perfect day of cardio and fun if the ride was nicely interspersed with 3 or 4 stops to swim, chat, snack or explore.

Anyone have any favourite spots to pull off the road?

Cheers

I would most definitely include a ride along O'otu peninsula and take a swim at the end of the point where several of the cruise vessels depart, or in front of Samade followed by a refreshing drink/snack at one of the cafes in the Ootu area. Hire kayaks at Samade.

Although the island make take an hour or so to cycle around, aim to spend some time enjoying the localities and the beaches.
