| anonymous15:49 UTC11 May 2007 | Hi all,
My partner and I went to the Cook Islands for Christmas. Truly fabulous - would happily invest there (and live) if only we could find the right propoerty for the right price. But his is beside the point.
I am intending on returning to Raro in October for a month to write my phd - well at least begin. I have made contact with a number of people (shekinah who we stayed with, fantastic company; jetsave and rarorealty) and am wondering if anyone has other suggestions for accommodation. I am wanting something reasonable for about $700 per week. I will be there for 4 weeks. Prefer beach front but hey a walk across ther aod wont kill me. Also would rpefer Titikaveka if poss. I know demanding person. But hey we can all have wish list.
Looking forward to hearing from thorntreers.
Chris

| papamike23:03 UTC11 May 2007 | Hi Chris,
I have a few suggestions for places to stay. Shell & Crafts Beachside Bungalows has three units next to Pacific Resort, not directly on the beach but about thirty feet from the beach. Lots of restaurants and a store or two within walking distance. It is owned by a friend, reasonable rent and quiet.
I stayed at Paradise Inn for the majority of the time I was there to write my guidebook. It has a great deck to sit on with your laptop, is on the edge of Avarua with store and restaurants close to it.
One location I have been considering for my next trip is Mount Vie Lodges, which is somewhat isolated but has attractive pricing. Sometimes being isolated helps the PHD writing, less distractions.
All three of these places have websites, so take a look at the various ammeneties and enjoy your time in Rarotonga.
