accommodation at muri beach

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands

HI,

was wondering if anyone had stayed at either kura's kababas or shangri-la(recently as it has changed hands and they're doing some building work) We are hoping to stay for 4 nights in july and can't decide which one to go for. Looking for somewhere quiet and low key.
Thanks
Andrea

Haven't stayed at either but I saw the Web site for the new Shangri-la which is now Muri Beach Resort. Note that they now allow children which may make a difference for you.

I recently stayed at Muri Beach at a lovely little secluded house, it was very quiet and we would only see a handful of people strolling past on the beach each day - bliss! http://www.rarotongalagoonvillas.co.ck/index.htm#Muri

My husband and I loved Rarotonga Backpackers Beachside location. Beautiful bungalows right on a gorgeous beach. Lovely view and great fully equipped kitchen and front porch with BBQ. Very clean bathroom. We would definately recommend it.

Hopefully you'll have the sunshine we didn't last July!

Friends stayed at Kura's and enjoyed it there. We stayed at Tiana's Beach Bungalows and I would recommend this too. http://www.tianas.com/Index.html
