Accomodation in Cook Islands

Hi, Im meeting my boyfriend in NZ (who is travelling at the mo with the boys!) and going to the Cook Islands for a week. Does anyone have any reccomendations of where to stay. Kinda on the lines of romantic, cute, but not costing a fortune! Thanks in advance :)

Can you give some idea of your budget? "A fortune" means different things to different people!

Oooo, looked at Kings beach and they were about £380 for a beach view, so maybe around that, perferabble less, about 300!

Will the kids be with you? That makes a difference. If not, you might look at the Muri Beach Hideaway.

We stayed at the Rarotonga Backpackers at the Beachside in July 2006. The rooms are bungalows right on a beautiful beach and are huge with fully equipped kitchens and extremely clean nice bathrooms. They also have a big front porch and I'm pretty sure it comes equipped with a BBQ. It cost us only $80 US a night. Very reasonable for the accomadation and the Cooks.

We've just returned from a fabulous holiday in the Cooks. I would recommend Tiana's Beach Bungalows. If I had to say anything "bad" about it, it would be that a flyscreen on the sliding door would have made it 110% perfect. But not much beats waking up in the morning, opening the curtains and gazing out at the sand below your balcony and across Muri Lagoon. Friends stayed at Shell Bungalows and Kura's Kabanas and were also happy with their accommodation. The other option which was highly rated was the Rarotongan Beach Bungalows/Backpackers - you can get a private room there too. Enjoy your trip - you can't go too wrong with where you stay ... you won't be spending much time there anyway :)

We stayed at Muri Lagoon Villa and this definately fits into the romantic and cute category! There are pictures on this site Muri Lagoon Villa and we were definately not disappointed :o) If you would like to see more photos, please let me know.
