best time for visiting the cooks

I read that air temperature in the Cooks doesn't vary much. As we will be travelling to these islands and to another place, we have to choose when is the best time for each between November and January. We are wondering when it will rain less with shorter showers, be less cloudy and most importantly less rough, clearer sea.

The thing is that the best time for the other islands is November but if that is the best time for the Cooks too, we might have to rethink our travel plans....

You are correct about temperatures not varrying much in the Cooks or other island groups located close to the equator. January, on average, will be more humid than November. If you pick lodging close to the lagoon, the breeze should help mitigate the heat and humidity. Most lodgings have fans to help cool you at night and a cold drink with an umbrella in it helps. I am sure you will have a great trip at either time, the Cook's are a great spot with friendly islanders and a relaxed lifestyle. Enjoy your trip.

the best time for me would be may-october during LESS rain. Im emphasizing this because "dry"season does NOT necessarily mean 0% chance rain. Some of the islands may receive higher than average rainfall due to their local topographical characteristic.

Rainy season and the infamous "Maraamu" (to polynesians) occurs from nov-mar. this time will also increase humidity on islands closer to equator line as compared to the northern group especially. The northern group is very dry during this time.

November is a lot better than Jan. Not as humid.

cheers guys. So it will be November and December then.... the only problem is that I'm sure it will be so full around Christmas time. We might even go for 2 weeks to the Society Islands. Have you any idea which out of Cooks and Society island groups will be busier around this time please?
