Best time of year to travel to Cook IslandsCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands
Hey. My wife and I are planning a week on Cook Islands in 2018. Time of year is reasonably flexible. Accommodation / location is sorted due to a big wrap from a friend who recently visited so its just time of year. Suggestions appreciated.
I have always enjoyed Raro in July or August rodney. when cold and wet at home, travel to somewhere warm and sunny | 1
thanks Rob, July August works well. cheers. | 2
July and August are good times to visit but it is also high season so you may not find too many bargains. It's cooler and no chance of cyclones. The whales are also here. | 3
yes, good point, it is the dry period in the pacific, less rain and less humidity. ideal time to go | 4
Dry season usually runs from May to October, so you can pick any month within this window. Besides the weather, keep in mind seasonal experiences that could make your trip even better. My favourite sources for this kind of info are Audley Travel and rove.me—well-structured info, covering nature-based activities and events. | 5
