| dcrennak13:04 UTC08 Jul 2017 | Has anyone spent time in both French Polynesia and the Cook Islands in recent times???? Looking for a comparison on how different they are???
Trying to decide if Cook Islands are different enough from outer islands in French Polynesia to invest time and money in going there. We are arranging a lengthy trip in September, 2018 to French Polynesia. We will fly into Tahiti and see Mo'orea and will be on a boat for a week around Bora Bora and nearby islands. We are also taking the 2 week Aranui frieighter out to the Marquesas Islands.
We had planned to go to the Cook Islands for a week on the return to the States. Looking into to it further we wonder if it would be better to just see more of French Polynesia and dive in the Tuamotus(though we think that is off season-has anyone been there in September???)
We live on a beach in Mexico mush of the time and are not trying to relax. We are trying to see topographical interests, historical, cultural and scuba. ANYBODY been to in September? ANYBODY been to both??
