Holden's and Mac's

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands

I wonder whether anyone can tell me whether it is worth bringing my Holden station wagon over. With three kids and a husband who's a builder thought it would be useful. Parts are probably going to be very expensive to buy there. Do you think it would be worth getting something a lil cheaper to run and with parts more easily accessible in the Cooks. Also I have an apple mac computer, and have read that it is not a good idea to bring that as there aren't many mac technicians on Raro if any at all. Any ideas on this or what type of computer that is more hearty for tropical conditions. Cheers

Macs are more reliable that PCs, period.

Don't know if there's such a thing as a tropical computer - guess you just have to expect short circuits during the wet season.

it will cost more than your car is worth to transport it to the Cooks.

Cheers guys, very true its costly bringing cars over, and it would be a real issue if I were paying. Think I will bring the Mac over, having a look at what I would get for it if I sold it here and bought a pc and thats bugger all. Quite right they are more reliable.
