Hostels at Rarotonga & Aitutaki

We're going to Rarotonga & Aitutaki in April and are looking for good and cheap places (-40 NZD) to stay at.
Anyone got any tips?

On Rarotonga try Rarotonga Backpackers, Vara's, Arianna Bungalows, Maina Guesthouse, Aremango Guesthouse

Over on Aitutaki Matriki Beach Bungalows, Paratrooper, Vaikoa, Tom's Beach Cottage

All of those are under NZ$40.00
