Looking to stowaway...

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands

Ok. It's the Autumn in Canada. I don't want to face another Winter. Does anyone have a travel chest large enough to accommodate a portly, middle-aged guy? Just wake me when we get to Rarotonga! :-)

Hi everyone!

All the best,
Mark

Travel chest for one? I would have thought this would have to be for 2.

I don't want to push my luck, chinagazer! If there's room for a 2nd, I'll try to convince Janice that it'll be comfy! ;-)

2

Whose this portly guy?? The Letterdude I met looked like he was in pretty good shape. Has J's cooking spoiled you??

3

Mark, how the HELL are you, man?

Did you do Raro's quiz?

I hope to be doing Samoa/NZ/Thailand again this year... If you are good at contorting yourself into some strange (and VERY tiny) shape, I might be able to get you into my backpack!! :)

Hey All!

I'm pretty much the same as when you saw me, Raro. It's just in comparison to what I want to be! All is well, here. Very busy doing lots of interesting things.

Quiz? Hook me up!

(Hey Greg!)

5

Mark...

I sent you a PM.

6

If you find any takers, get a two seater please. I don't know about Janice but I would be willing to put up with a fair piece of discomfort. Walk on the kids and hubby and winter in Rarotonga- sounds like heaven to me.

7

Well, really Mark, couldn't you just take advantage of your employment position and ship yourself to the CI via Canadian Post? Janice could always fly over and claim you in lost mail, saving at least one fare.

Betsy---Is Canada Post that reliable??!!! If it were the USPS, Letterdude might end up in Papua New Guinea, Cocos Is. Costa Rica, Cocos Is. Australia, or some town in Romania. I've had mail sent to me in the Cooks, from the uS, end up in the Cooks several months later, all forwarded from the above places!!

Raro...

While the Cook Islands would be my first choice, I'd go to any of the other places you've mentioned...with the possible exception of Romania. What the hell...Romania, too!

It really is so nice to hear from everyone!

Best regards,
Mark

I've heard there are some lovely spots in Romania. Beaches along the east coast, nice mountains (and vampires??) in the Transylvania mts in the center and west.
