Luggage storage - Rarotonga

Hi

I'm making a stopover in Rarotonga on the way back to NZ. I will have two large boxes with me that I don't want to lug round and I've read that it's possible to store them safely at the airport fire dept. building for a fee. Has anyone left any baggage with these guys - any problems?

Luggage storage at Rarotonga airport has now shifted from the fire dept. building to it's own facility near the domestic departure area. According to the local newspaper, major renovations will take place at the airport terminal starting in April, 2009, so luggage storage may move again. Just ask one of the inspectors when you go through Customs. Enjoy Rarotonga.
