| hamilmk10:00 UTC01 Jul 2007 | Hi,
My wife and I are taking our 4 mon th old sun to the Cooks for a couple of weeks. We have accommodation sorted on Aitutaki, but need a few suggestions for the mainland for a couple of days. We'd prefer a self-catering bungalow. Doesnt need to be on the beach as we'll have that at Aitutaki, but close to the beach, clean, reasonably priced (up to $150/ night). Any suggestions?
Cheers Mark

Last year we stayed at the Sunset Palms Studio in Arorangi (western side of the island, on the beach) and loved it. It is new, spotlessly clean, painted and decorated in cheerful colours. Large, new fridge and freezer. Check here: Sunset Palms Studio Or in case the link does not work: http://www.ck/sunsetpalmsstudio/index.htm<BR><BR>Right next to it, owned by the same people, is the Sunset Palms Beach House, a little bit older than the studio, but as clean (I visited the house). Has separate bedroom. Sunset Palms Beach House Or in case the link does not work: http://www.ck/sunsetpalms/index2.htm<BR><BR>The big advantage of both is, that you can enjoy the paradisical sunsets right from the deck or beach in front of the house, even if the baby is asleep.
If a baby bath is needed, you can rent one from Coco Tots: a company that rents out material for babies and toddlers. Here is their site: Coco Tots or in case the link does not work: www.cocotots.com<BR>Prices for renting a baby bath are on their site.
There is a new babysitting service on Rarotonga (if you would need one): the Rarotonga Babysitting Service, tel. 29105. Cannot comment on their services, because no experience.

| csabao16:43 UTC30 Jul 2007 | We stayed at two different bungalows belonging to Vara's and were very happy with them. Nice and clean, and quiet as they were on the hillside but still only 5 minutes walk from Muri beach.
Paid 90 and 100 for a couple.
