Anybody know of/about these resorts. Opinions please. Manuia Beach Boutique Hotel
Harry my man...have a look at Cook Island news web site...all will be revealed. | 1
I'm assuming you are interested in them as potential work places, and not as a tourist? If so, yes, there is a hot issue about the places Tepaki bought as "condos" and the management of them. I'd stay away from anything to do with them, if it were me. Go to www.cinews.com for the latest, as tuna says. | 2
Thanks. They are looking for a Resort Operations Manager and a Front Office dude. Operations management of a hotel is what I am good at. I had a run in not long ago with Tata Balcomb (sp?) from Aitutaki. What a muppet. Are there any good hoteliers in the Cooks? | 3
It's Tata Crocombe. Yes, he can be a bit stubborn, but I found him to generally be a good businessman in my dealings with him. Those Tepaki related condos: well, I think it's a big mess, and may get worse. If you get involved, you'll have to be very careful about what you agree to, who is paying you, etc. etc. etc. Good hoteliers in the Cooks? Lots of them, like Sokala, Takitumu Villas, Pacific Resort, even Muri Beach Club Resort, and several other small places. But they are mostly run by their owners or families, or close friends. Probably tough to get a high-ranking job at those places. | 4
Ah, Crocombe, yes, that's it. Judging by his picture (and stubbornness ?) he is a bald version of me. He needs to buy an atlas. anyway, the ad was placed by Rarotonga Resorts Management, and maybe these are the condo owners trying to oust Tepaki? I prefer the job in Tonga, but I will happily go to the Cooks. | 5
Not sure if it's the ones trying to oust Tepaki, or Tepaki's company. Check that CI News article, it gives a bit of detail on the players involved. | 6
thanks Raro. | 7 | |
I missed the job in Tonga, so few options left. (sob) | 8
Got married at the Manuia Beach in 2004 The only reason I didn't stay there the second time was because of their no-kids policy After what I've read and heard - I don't think I'll be staying there another time.... | 9
