| tinabrooks15:15 UTC27 Mar 2007 | Heya
Can't decide where to go for our little one week break away in June. We are tossing up between Rarotonga or Samoa?? Which one do you like best? My boyfriend prefers somewhere with surf - i prefer somewhere cheaper (am a student!) let us know your thoughts please :))

The latter are very low there, as the Samoan islands are close to each other. It would probably be the better option for surfing, too - though for that your BIG neighbour should be much better! ;-)
I haven't been to the Cooks, but many say the beaches there (not on Raro itself!) are better. They would also lack the problems of Samoa discussed on the thread linked in my signo. But then now they have the dengue issue...
If you could afford to fly that far, Indonesia would offer both lower costs and outstanding surf - even by Aussie standards!
