Urgent accomm needed - any ideas?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands

Hi there

I booked accomm last year and got a confirmation email after my other half called and gave them his credit card details and then we booked flights. I tried to re-confirm but they've said that they've double booked us and offered something else. Naturally we're quite upset but we may have to take it if we can't find anything else as I doubt they'll cancel the booking made after we did.

We're currently surfing the net and wading through lonely planet listings and so on but does anyone know of anything that may not be listed or any hidden gems? Our budget is NZ$100-150pn. We're also wading through the Cook Islands main web page too.

If anyone can help we're looking for a reasonable beach bungalow. Any websites that do good rates would also be helpful as we've tried LastMinute, AsiaRooms and Agoda so far but far too expensive.

Many thanks

Go to www.ck or the tourist office website and DIRECTLY contact some places. I would also file a complaint with the Tourist Office against the place that double-booked you.

Lots of places in your range. Choose one near Muri Beach or Titikaveka if you like the best snorkeling areas.

When are you planning to visit? I may be able to help you with accomm in your price range. And certainly I can help you find somewhere.
Send me a private message if you wish.
