Weather in mid-April

Hi all,

I have the opportunity to visit Rarotonga in mid-April (my only previous visit was Sept 2006).

What is the weather up to at this time? I'm guessing its a shoulder season, so could still be very humid & a bit stormy? IIRC the 2005 cyclones were in March - does the cyclone season bleed into April??

I was on the Cooks in 2007, the last week of April and the first of May. The weather was great. On Rarotonga the temperatures 25-27 'C, mostly sunny, occasionally warm showers (refreshing!). Rains mostly at night and early in the morning; during my 15-days stay I had only 2 days with heavy rains (from early morning till early afternoon), but it was still warm.
