Wedding at RarotongaCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands
Hi, Has anyone been married at Rarotonga that can recommend an intimate beach wedding venue, wedding planner or offer any suggestions please? We are planning to be married there between June and August but cannot decide on a hotel. Many thanks in advance
Maybe you have already done so, but you could try posting this question on the Cook Islands forum at tripadvisor.com. | 1
Rarotonga is a beautiful place to get married. Most of the resorts here have their own wedding planners, so if you choose to go that way you can usually get a package price which may or may not include a flower arch on the beach, "warriors" paddling you across the motu in a traditional vaka (Pacific Resort), local string band etc. There are also many local wedding planners who can help you to plan your own wedding if you would prefer not to stay at a resort: Wedded Bliss Polynesian Moments Simply Weddings Tipani Weddings Best wishes for a beautiful day. | 2
One good place is Sokala Villas, Sarina handles all wedding arrangements. | 3
We were married in Raro almost 5 years ago and used the wedding services through Captain Tama's. Everything was handled beautifully! We got the complete motu wedding package with the island dance troup, photographer and videographer. I would recommend this package and Captain Tama's to anyone looking for a very professional wedding planner. Everyone who has seen our wedding video (and wasn't there) has said it was the most unique and beautiful wedding that they've ever seen. If you have any questions for me, I'll be happy to answer them. | 4
