What's the weather like in the Cooks these days?

anybody over there who can let us know? online info is not too clear or not clear at all

thanks! i did, but it is a bit unclear since it says there are downpours, but it is not the same raining all day than it being sunny and pouring rain for an hour a day, that is why i wanted to ask somebody who is actually there...

I got an E-mail from down there a week ago, they had caught the tail end of a cyclone, with little damage a lot of leaves and mess, but nothing serious. I will be leaving on the 14th of Feb and can update from down there. Keep in mind weather blows through pretty fast and rain is seldom prolonged. Hope that helps, at tleast until someone down there posts. I know Raro is out of country, so not sure if anybody else down there monitors these posts.

It really doesn't matter what the weather is doing even two days before you leave. As Mike says, it changes quickly, as there are no high mountains to slow things down, and it's only about 6 miles across.

Unless a cyclone is involved (maybe once a yr on average), one cannot predict rain etc more than about five hours in advance. It usually rains for an hour or two, then is sunn y for a few hours, etc., this is from Nov to April. Less rain and less humidity the rest of the year.

HOT! It's like Africa Hot. The past week has been mostly clear, with the occasional light breeze and some short showers. Humid but,overall, textbook.

On Raro a week now, rain pretty much a daily shower overnight, hot and humid days, nice nights. Currently camped under the ceiling fan, posting this reply and drinking paw paw juice, hard to feel sorry for me if you are up in Canada or Montana, Heh?

all sounds good! Just afraid it might be raining all the time. Downpours for an hour or two and then sunny the rest of the day is totally fine with me. Will join you for that paw paw juice soon, Mike! :)
