Where to stay

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Cook Islands

Hello
Will be going to the Cook Islands in July to a friends wedding. Staying there for 2 weeks and looking for budget accom, backpackers etc. Freinds staying in Titikaveka but only staying for a week. I'll be there on my own so don't want to be stuck with couples. Where do I stay? Busy areas or are they all quiet. Any good backpackers or lodges that anyone can recommend?

I can recommend Rarotonga backpackers, http://www.rarotongabackpackers.com/ but you have the choice.

Vara's is good too I think.

Vara's can be good, or it can be very noisy, depends on the week.
also check out Aremango, or Papa Rau's.

I've stayed at Rarotonga backpackers and it was ok. The beachside branch is a lot busier than hillside.
Or try Tiare village hostel which is cheaper (close to Avarua, the main town)
Or indeed any of the others that were suggested. Ask for a discount on your 2 week stay, most people stay shorter.
