Which Side of Rarotonga Should we stay on?

North (Avarua), East (Muri), South (Vaimaanga), West (Arorangi) - which side of Rarotonga would you recommend staying on and why did you pick it?

We like snorkelling, beach walks, nice weather, and being near a variety of places to eat. We will travel around the island at least once.

muri is the nicest beach area and has maybe the easiest snorkling as well as cluster of restaurants
mind, find the resort you like and go from there
Raro is so easy to get around on via scooter
