Does anyone have any good recommendations for how to spend a day-and-a-half layover at Nadi? I'll be arriving at 1:30pm and departing the next night at 10pm. Best activity or place to relax? Thanks
You will probably get several suggestions from the regulars here. You did not indicate your budget so my suggestions will be mid priced. I would check in at Raffles Hotel across the road from the airport for the night. You could just spend the time relaxing around their pool and soaking up some sun or hop on the bus that stops at their door to have a look at Nadi or Lautoka. A day trip to one of the offshore islands is quite doable - check out South Sea Cruises for times and costs - we booked with the lady at Raffles for Mana Island and had a great day snorkeling and beach walking. You can leave your luggage at Raffles or use the left luggage option at the airport. Raffles also has a shower facility where you could freshen up for your flight. Edited by: newfie43 | 1
get a decent hotel at denaru harbour and youre in early enough to lounge around the pool for the arvo there, go wander to the harbour for dinner, then next day youve got ample time to take a full day island trip nearby returning back at 6pm, which will give you time enough to return to the hotel for a change and shower and collect your luggage, the hotel will probably do you a special rate if you just need to shower and go as you would have checked out that am, unless you seek 2 days accm or late, late check out or such, enjoy! | 2
I decided to stay at the Denarau property that Hilton Runs. I believe it's called the Fiji Beach Club. What exactly is "a full day island trip"? | 3
hi Speed, got your pm, when you arrive there you can easily walk up and book a day boat trip to any of the islands, boats leave about 8-9am so you can book from your near by hotel or just wander down to the harbor from your hotel (ot take the free bus). Its just a very beautiful part of the world maybe go to Plantation or Mana island, for r n r and snorkelling/beachcombing swmming all day and they'll include an island lunch, or go do a 3 island tour for the day. Don't go out of the Mamanuca islands as the other Yasawa islands would have you on a boat to long getting there and back. Enjoy! | 4
