5 hour layover in Nadi

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

I had read in this forum a while back that there was a hotel across the road from the Nadi airport that would allow travelers to take have a swim and shower for small fee. I've got a 5-hour layover, which doesn't give me much time to see Fiji, but a relaxing swim sounds nice. Anyone know if this is still an option to kill a few hours between flights and at least leave the airport?

I'm pretty sure Raffles Gateway still has that option available, although I'm not sure if they charge a fee just to swim and shower - the shower facility is located near the restaurant. I know that they do have a day rate if you want to have a room. If you have to collect your luggage there is a "left luggage" room at the airport if you need to store it while you head across the road to the hotel. If you have a meal or drinks there you may be able to use the facilities for free - it would be worth checking that out.

Thanks for the tip on Raffles Gateway Hotel. I checked their website and they have a free VIP voucher that gives you a shuttle to-from the airport and a swim, shower, and towel for no charge. I'll put my swim shorts in my carry-on bag.

Good plan! Nadi isn't exactly the most charming town in the South Pacific so this is a great way to spend a couple of hours.
