Hi, I'm a 59 yo female and planning a short holiday in Fiji by myself. Can anyone recommend anywhere to stay? Not into nightlife and clubbing, just want to relax!! Thanks

Have a look at Danny's 2 hrs drive from Nadi International Airport on the Coral Coast.

You get your own cabin right on the beach. Price per night includes all meals and accommodation.

I stayed there with my husband and children but there were a couple of sole travllers who stayed while we were there.

for the price you cannot beat it.

the following link is a short video clip of Danny's

Have you thought about doing a cruise, I did a Blue Lagoon cruise (by myself) and thoroughly enjoyed it, super relaxing, got to mix and mingle as little or as much as I wanted, wonderful friendly staff, great food and the scenery was constantly changing.

If that's not for you have a look at Sonasali, Hideaway Resort or if you want to go upmarket The Intercontinetial at Natadola Beach is beautiful.

I'm posting to this thread so I can keep up with it, as I may be asking the same question myself in a couple of years.

Thebirchadventure seems to be well-aquainted with Fiji.

Loved the pearl resort. Also a link to a youtube video of it. http://www.youtube.com/user/missroomandboard#p/a/u/2/EqVyZ1JmD5o

Last November I spent 2 wonderfully relaxing weeks at Mango Bay, on the Coral Coast. Not a party place, but had everything I could have wished for. I'm a couple of years older than the OP. I stayed in the well-appointed dorm and was most impressed.
The price of $F 45 includes an excellent buffet breakfast. The staff are really helpful and the location is to die for.

I am wondering if anyone else has comments on Danny's home stay. The same poster recommends it, but I have not seen much else, and the youtube footage is not very impressive for an older traveller - just a backpackers' dorm with bunks.
