6 days and best views in Fiji

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

So I'm heading to Fiji in a couple of weeks for 6 days and was wondering where to catch the best views. Beaches... seascapes... mountains.

I've read up a bit and I was thinking maybe a 3-day cruise to the Yasawas and Mananucas, another couple of days in Taveuni and Savusavu and maybe a visit to Navala and the highlands on the last day. Are these the best sights or are there others I should aim for? I'll get an Air Fiji pass so I should be able to get around with ease. Thanks

The places you've listed would offer a good selection of the best views in Fiji indeed, but even with an air-pass, I still find visiting 1 island per day "a bit" too rushed.

I agree with Laszlo, that's a lot of traveling for 6 days. IMHO I'd just pick two spots and spend three days in each. Maybe that 3-day cruise, then a few days on the main island or maybe around Savasavu and the SE coast of Vanua Levu.

It was cool. Did the Lavena coastal walk on Taveuni and then went to the 180-degree line, bummed around Savusavu for a day, headed up to Navala on the 3rd day and went island hopping for 3 days in the Yasawas.

It wasn't too terribly rushed for 6 days but another day on each of Taveuni, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu would have been nice. I don't dive yet so the next time I go back I'll hopefully be doing that. Heard the Rainbow Reef etc. are awesome.

Glad to hear you had a good trip.

I guess if one is flying locally, it is a lot more "do-able" without feeling too rushed.
