A good place for a Wedding in Fiji

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hi. Am looking for a wedding venue in Fiji. Don't want to spend a fortune but want somewhere nice. Only about 10 to 15 guests.
Would like to hear from people who have had a wedding in Fiji or attended wedding. Any information on costs, accommodation, or anyone who organises weddings over there would be appreciated.
Thanks muchly - Elaine

Many resorts will arrange weddings. Some specialise in them but can charge big bucks too.

Did not include an actual wedding, but I was at a renewal of vows on the beach at Nanuya Lili organised by Blue Lagoon Cruises that was stunning.
The local church choir was brought over from a village on another island and they had a big bonfire on the beach afterwards.
Blue Lagoon made no additional charge for that over and above the cruise cost.

You could have the official wedding anywhere. Celebrants will travel to islands for a fee.
Nanuya Resort would have to be my pick for somewhere to have it if the cruise idea did not appeal.

Cheers,
Peter

Hi there Elaine,

I have attended a wedding at The Pearl South Pacific Resort, Pacific Harbour. Very romantic setting on the beach, perfect for the number of guests you are after. Its more of a couples resort than a family one, so its perfect for a wedding. Head to their Facebook page as they have got photos of quite a few of the weddings they've done so you can get an idea: https://www.facebook.com/ThePearlSouthPacificResort . The Uprising Beach Resort also does weddings for a affordable price as they are a Flashpackers resort: http://uprisingbeachresort.com/

If you and your fiance are planning on doing any activities whilst you're in Fiji let me know and I can send through some fun stuff for you both to do.

If you'd like to hear about events happening around Fiji that you may be around for check out http://fijieventure.com or http://facebook.com/fijieventure

I hope this helps somewhat. Congratulations by the way :)

Hi - I've been to Fiji every year for the past 12 years and seen many weddings - my neice is getting married at Musket Cove on Mololo Lai Lai (Mamanuca islands) in May (on my advice)- i've seen lovely weddings there both big and small ones - easy to get to from the main island (40 minutes by boat)- the set up for dinner on the beach is gorgeous - the best location that I have seen - contact Gloria who is the lady who organises the weddings and special events - www.musketcovefiji.com
Hope all goes well for your special day - Kim
