A lot of rain in Fiji in April?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hi,

I'm planning a round the world trip and I was thinking to come to Fiji in April. Is it worth? Does it rain all the time or only for a little while during the day?

Thanks
Carme

A very wet wet season in Lautoka this year. It is still raining sometimes here which is quite unusual, I understand. We had quite a lot of rain from about 6pm and during the night last night.
Generally though, it might rain for a few hours starting mid - late in the afternoon. Even then it is not cold, so you can plan your activities around it without too much stress.

Cheers,
Peter

This year from the 16th April to the 14th May I had my family over from Australia, and I can honestly say we had about 3 days rain , and a few night rains. Overall a very hot and dry time. July however is now raining but still warm.

Thanks a lot!
