Advice how to find longterm (3 mo.) bure for 2 older ladies SavuSavu

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

We are 2 older ladies who want a reasonably priced self-contained bure near SavuSavu or on Tavueni. Our ticket is from December 1 to Mar. 1.
I have tried the internet and can't locate a website or anything actually that shows bure prices by the month. I have been to Fiji several times on shorter trips but not to VanuaLevu or Tavueni.
I guess we can just go there and ask around but it would be nice to have some sort of idea first.
I hope someone can help us out. Thanks

Sekawa Beach Cottage is one good possibility. It is about 10 or so minutes out of Savusavu in a beautiful area. The place is spotlessly clean. You can look on Tripadvisor for yourself to see pictures and ratings. Plus the price is very reasonable.
You will need to have a rental car or use bus/taxi to get to the main town area.
The owners are nice people, originally from Hawaii and know the area well.
You also might think of breaking up your trip by staying at two or three different places since your trip is so long....All the best, Chiavenna

Housecarers.com advertise a couple of houses for rent in savusavu. They call it house sitting but the costs you pay equal rent. There were two about 4kms from town on the road to costeaus - across the road from the sea, I stayed at one for 4 months a few winters ago and throughly enjoyed it. I also talked to the owner of the hot springs hotel when I was there and was given a good monthly rate for a twin room, ensuite with kitchenette, nice with a view and pool onsite.
i thought that a really good option for my next visit. A friend stayed long term at Hans place , but the climb up to the units was quite steep.
