advise sought on travel and accomodation - 12 day/11 nights in Fiji

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

help please, I need some advice....I'm single European female heading to Fiji in October 2017 for 12 day/11 nights and I'm not sure what is the best to do re paying for travel and accommodation, I've yet to work what I would actually like to do whilst there.

Presently I am of the view that I will be spending no time in Nadi and heading straight to the islands on arrival, probably the Yasawa group of islands. the only one is on my absolute must go to is Mantaray island. Probably making my way from the bottom of the islands up, stopping off as I go the spend the whole day on the day before I fly out travelling back to nadi, or visa versa.
My questions are this, is that a wise idea? also, is it more cost effective to book the Yasawa flyer WITH accommodation? in terms of what I would want accommodation wise budget is fine with me but not the bottom end of budget!! sharing with no more that four is fine, but not more than that. it is better/less restrictive to organise travel and accommodation separately, can I have some recommendations that would suit what I am looking for?

many thanks in advance.

have you thought of one of the local cruises 4 or 7 days for part of the time, that way you see a lot of Fiji, have no meal or accommodation worries and a different place to snorkel twice a day. You could also take the bus around the island stopping off at some places on the way to finish off your time in Fiji
