Anybody here now who's stayed at Victoria Palms Hotel in Suva?

Of the inexpensive hotels, it sounded the best, but the recent comments about the place on TripAdvisor or whatever it is, were few. Probably too late to change anyway, but anyone stayed or been there in the last few months or even year?

have lived in Suva so haven't stayed there, Taxi's are cheap and always one cruising around the streets, just make sure they have the meter on. The Saturdays markets are a must see, and the food on sale is OK to eat. the food upstairs at the two major shopping centres is good, also visit the museum.

lot of good Indian restaurants? safe?

yes any food from the Indian fast food places at Tappoo city, MH or Damodar is Ok to eat,I've tried them all. there are better Indian restaurants in Town, Maya Dhaba, Curry House, Saffron also good Japanese at Daikoko,
