Anyone know about Wellesley Resort?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

I amabout to attend a wedding at the Wellesley Resort and I am told that it is quite isolated.... does anyone know what the resort is like and how we might get around from the resort to Suva and to the islands?
thanks....

It is west of Suva on the Coral Coast, on the main road, so it is hardly "isolated".

Never been there though.
Bus or cab from Suva.

Cheers,
Peter

You might find local buses or even taxis or a rental car more cost effective than a private driver.

Just returned from Wellesley Resort. Yes it is isolated.
You will need a car, either you rent one yourself or you
will have to arrange some sort of transport.
There are also taxi services on the web, contact them
and ask for a quote. (try ravin's taxi, he drove us to Nadi )
There are scheduled buses to Nadi and Suva, but in
my opinion it is impossible to walk to the junction from
the resort. It was quite a long ride from the highway to
the resort.
Wish you a wonderful time at Wellesley Resort.
