Arriving late Nadi Airport to Suva

Ok, my flight gets in to NAN at around 7pm or so. Is there any way to get a local bus to go to Suva at that hour? Is it safe? If its any help, I probably won't stick out that much (given I am Indian). Really looking forward to Fiji ... think it will be a emotionally overpowering trip. Any advice would be great.

Even if you made it to Suva, you'd arrive in the middle of the night.
It would really make more sense to spend that first night in Nadi or Lautoka, then catch a bus next morning.
