Backpacker resort/itinerary

Hi All

I am going to Fiji for approx. one week in early June. I will be flying in and out of Nadi, and am looking for a backpacker island/resort(s) to send my time. Does anyone have any suggested resorts/itinerary. I must be a good social place to meet other you travelers and friendly for a moderate budget

Beachcomber Island in the Mamanucas is the ultimate social/party place.
Nearby Mana also has several backpackers, is cheaper and bigger with more to do.
A bit further out, there are also backpackers' resorts in the Yasawas.
Of course with only a week, you shouldn't plan to stay at more than two islands, I'd say.
