Backpacking in Fiji

Hi all

We are a couple of backpackers heading to Fiji in a weeks time, we think we are going to head for the Yasawas as we want to avoid the 'party' scene of the Mamanucas. We are interested in fantastic beaches,scenery,snorkelling,hiking,etc.

We are aware that the yasawa flyer (awesome adventures) is the main transport option, but what about accommodation? Awesome adventures offer an accommodation pass, but is this necessary / best value? should we consider booking our own accommodation beforehand?

Any advice on this is much appreciated!
