Is there a bank for exchanging money on Ovalau?

Yes, Levuka is the principal town in the Lomaiviti province and offers all those modern services. Westpac is on Beach Street in Levuka.

Trivia: did you know that Levuka was the very first modern settlement in Fiji? It had a lot of "firsts". First bank in Fiji, first post office, first school, first hospital, first school etc. It was only later that Suva "took over".

there is a little museum in the main street, well worth a visit for $2 just to see the shell and artifacts.
