Beachcomber Island & Mantaray Island Resort

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

I have a couple of queries if anyone can help:

I'm departing Denarau on the 12.30pm Yasawa flyer and arrive at Beachcomber around an hour later. Just wondering if we will make it in time for the set buffet lunch?

Can anyone who as been to Beachcomber or Mantaray Island Resort recently please let me know the times for the set buffet meals, the cost of drinks on the island and the cost of activities?

Also wondering if it is possible to plug-in/charge an Australian laptop on both these islands easily (I have heard they run mostly on generators on the outer islands so I'm wondering if it is worth bringing along?

If you have any tips on good cheap local places to eat around Nadi and Denarau I'd appreciate that as well!

Thankyou.

Bula Nicole, Probaby best if you contacted the Beachcomber and Mantaray Resorts directly.

The electrical plugs and voltages are the same as Australia.

The mantarays-- up to 13 of them- are expected May-October. You might like the "Blue Bure" restaurant
in Nadi (FijiBlueBure.com)

Firstly - unless they have changed the schedule in the last couple of weeks, the Flyer departs at 8.30am to do the Yasawa run. There may be another boat that does Beachcomber on the Mamanuca run though.
If you are going on to Mantaray from Beachcomber, you will have to catch the Flyer - it gets to Beachcomber around 9am. Sorry can't help with your other questions.

There is another boat (operated by the same people who operate the Flyer) that does just the Mamanucas. Can't remember the times.

Beachcomber also have their own boat(s) that leave from "The Anchorage" sister resort an Vuda, north of the airport.
We have caught that at 9am, but depending how busy they are they may run at other times too. Typically takes about 45 minutes.
If you are staying at Beachcomber, it may be cheaper to use their boat.

Cheers,
Peter

Just a note on charging your computer. I'd recommend a surge protector if you're plugging into generator power. Don't want to fry your PC!
