BEST DIVES IN VETI LEVU

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

Hi all

In our very short trip to Veti Levu, we would like to include a diving day. We are staying near Nadi's airport, and we wouldn't like to move far from our hotel.

Is there any good dive site?
And a reliable - non expensive diving center?

Thanks a lot.

I suggest 3 hours north by local bus.
Ra Divers (VoliVoli Resort). They dive in the Bligh passage.

There is some diving on the south coast (including sharks), but no idea how good it is.

Cheers,
Peter

Another thought.
If this trip is before the end of the wet season (late April), it would be best to avoid southern and western VitiLevu due to silt run off from the rivers and poor vis.
The north of VitiLevu or the Yasawas would be better.

Cheers,
Peter

The shark diving at Pacific Harbor was pretty damn cool. Granted I'm not a super experienced diver, but the water was clear, there were fish everywhere, and seeing sharks up close was fun. They also have wreck dives that others said were excellent.

Here is a blog post I wrote up about my experience: http://expertvagabond.com/shark-diving-fiji/

Unless you want to do the shark dive, I would go with VoliVoli.

Another vote for Volivoli.

Volivoli is top notch, but it might be a bit far for you if you want to stay close to Nadi.

In the Nadi area I would recommend Scuba Bula down the road in Momi Bay.
