Best vibe? Beach, social, least kids, paradise - not boring?

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji

HELP PLEASE - arriving in 2 days! Last minute exit from Sydney.

What is your oppinion if we wanted to achieve finding the best vibed beach island set up, social - but not backpacker, no or limited kids, great beach/paradise feel, a pool bar would be nice. Importantly - not too boring. Budget is not an issue and deep down we prefer Bure/Hut style accom.

We have read 35 pages of forum posts and replies and have learnt this (agree or disagree who suitable places would be to meet our criteria):

Yasawas Island Group is popular.

-Octopus Resort comes up time and time again as the best option, by mixed people. (AVAILABILITY MAY BE AN ISSUE. HAVE SENT AN EMAIL)
-Manta Ray gets some good reports more social than party
-Oarsmans – best beach, but resort may have gone down hill a little. But beach reports are fantastic.
Robinson Crusoe came up a little.

For Party: Beach Comber

For Small: Lomani (45 min by boat, 12 rooms, adults)

Chilled/ ECO: Ecohaven & Manuya Resort (blue lagoon)

Flashpackers: Mango Bay – Coral Coast , Smugglers Cove – Nadi

ANY ADVICE AT ALL WOULD BE A HUGE HELP. WE HAVE HAD NO TIME TO PLAN. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS OTHERS AS WELL.
WE ARE FUN, ADVENTUROUS, SOCIAL PEOPLE WHO ALSO NEED A HOLIDAY!

Appreciated,

Julian

There are a few "deluxe" bures at Beachcomber, off to one side. But the music and noise can still keep you awake late into the early hours of the morning. A friend did this, not me, but it sounded like a decent spot for a quick getaway.

Sorry I didn't get to reply before you left...I was in Fiji! For future ref, we stayed at Tokoriki Island Resort in the Mamanuca's and it was absolute paradise. I would recommend it to anyone, and it fits much of your criteria. The people there are amazing.
