Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, Nacula Island and Awesome Adventures

I've been looking into places to stay in Fiji and this place looks idealic, all reviews are great about the resort and I've looked into the costs of getting to the island so I'm all set to book, but before I do I want to check something... I'm a solo female traveller and am slightly concerned it'll be all couples or families there. Any other solo travellers been there?

Another thing, I'm going for 8 nights- is that too long to stay in the one spot?

Also, a company called Awesome Adventures does a tour round the islands and seems a decent price- anyone been on a tour with them?

Just had my second stay there - 11 nights was not long enough. There is plenty to do - quite apart from lying on a beach lounger relaxing! - good snorkelling right off the beach, a dive shop if you are a diver, good walks if you're feeling energetic, village visits, boat trips (the one to the Sawa-i-Lau caves is particularly good) and resort based activities - try traditional weaving with the lovely Teresia.
I've been once as a couple, once as a family group. But there were others there as single travellers having a great time. I'm absolutely sure that you won't feel left out travelling alone.

When I (also female solo traveller) was there in Sept. 2010 for 5 days, they had a good mix of solo travellers and couples, and some families as well. It's very easy to mingle as meals are served at large communal tables; you'll meet lots of friendly, fun and/or interesting people that way. The same goes for the dorm, which is one of the best dorms I ever stayed in btw.
I loved my short stay there and would go back in a heartbeat.
