Book to go to Fiji from New Zealand or book in advance online?

Hello,

We're planning to go to Fiji in November this year from New Zealand. I was wondering if you can get good package deals in New Zealand using a travel company? Or would it work out cheaper to book online in advance using Air New Zealand for example?

Any advice ie: recommended airlines or travel companies would be greatly appreciated!

Consider only booking your first night or two in advance. You'll get better deals once you're on the ground here in Fiji. Most places will have available accomodations in November.

You actually can get good deals from a travel wholesaler, ive done this before. As an intial comparison i asked the resort direct and then priced the same thing via the Australian wholsesaler, the resort was much dearer and told me up from the wholesaler had better bulk rates than they could give me which was true for Mana and Plantation. We used travelonline.com That said you may get a good price if you dared to wait till you hit the nadi airport and booked at the resort offices at the exits.
