Hi guys, | ||
Just got back from bounty island a few days ago...last stop on a great 12-day trip! It's a beautiful small island not far from Viti Levu...this allows you to get there quickly on the ferry (45min) and maximize your last day heading back unless you plan on island hopping around the area which is also a great option. Great beach for soaking up the sun, amazing snorkeling just offshore, free use of kayaks and small sail catamaran, friendly staff, and a pretty laid-back atmosphere. My girlfriend (a vegan) didn't have much trouble with eating here. There's fresh fruit (pineapple, papaya, watermelon) after every meal and the kitchen staff will accommodate vegetarians if you let them know when you arrive. Food is served buffet style so you choose what you eat. Hope this helps and safe travels! | 1

We just left Bounty 2 days ago. The island is lovely, but for couples it is not as good as the Yasawas. The atmosphere was spoiled by a group of 50 Kiwis who took all the beach chairs and all the seats in the bar. The noise was incredible and the meals seemed to be a fight for survival. We left early. If you book it phone yourself and pay a lot less. Travel agents in Nadi take 15-20% comission. We payed 180F$ for a double with meals. Our friends booked trough an agent and payed 240F$ for the same room. The accomodation is not as nice as it sounds. It is a big place with more than 100 people staying at any one time. If you look for a quiet place in a nicer area, go to Otto&Fanny on Tavewa. For 190F$ you get a Bure with bath and all meals. It's 50F$ more each way on the Yasawa Flyer. | 3
