Budget Hotel Nadi

We require a budget hotel with private facilities in Nadi next week for a couple of nights - any suggestions would be appreciated.
Is is necessary to book before arrival or is there a register at the airport ?

I second Aquarius Fiji, they will pick you up from the airport (theres a freephone number for them there too so when you arrive you could phone adn see if they have room). Rob Kay's fiji guide has a good lowdown on accommodation in Nadi and elsewhere too.

A lot of budget and hostel type places can be contacted form the airport when you arrive, but it may be better to email first.

There is I think an accommodation office in the arrivals area of the airport who could most likely help too.

Kontiki Private hotel is inexpensive (I paid $20 F for a single room w/private bathroom and hot water) and near the airport. I expect prices have gone up by now, though. There's a communal kitchen and the room fee includes a tea or coffee and toast breakfast. They usually have someone meeting all incoming international flights.

We recently stayed at Aquarius in Raro and were happy with that so I guess that's what we'll do.
