Changing Euro to Fijian Dollars?

I`ll be arriving in Fiji in November, however when I went to my bank, in Ireland that is, to buy some currency they said they dont stock Fijian Dollars and that we should just arrive there with Euro and we should be able to change it, Is this normal for Fiji?

No problem. There is a bank branch just outside Arrivals at the airport.

Yep should not be a problem. I plan on doing the same thing when I arrive. When in November are you going? Maybe I will see you there!
