Cheap and Clean

Going to fiji with the boyfriend... looking for sugesstions for a clean cheap place to stay (preferably with private bathroom) , good food and some island life........ absolutely love to snorkel ...

any recommendations?

Octopus Resort

I agree with h2ooh. The Octopus resort is great. No Island nightlife other than at the resort, but all of the outer islands are like this. There is very little infrastructure as the islands are small. Nadi is where you want to go for that, but there are no nice beaches or snorkeling. The Octopus has an amazing beach, the snorkeling is the best I've experienced and the food was great. We got a beachfront bure for a week, it was cozy and even had it's own palapa on the beach. There are very few backpackers as well. You will not be disapointed!!!

i am all booked in to octupus to discover that we are there during the begining of cyclone season. :S Is the snorkeling still good during this time (begining of december) and what are the chances of boats to the mainland being cancelled during this time
