Cheaper to book in NZ?

Hi all,

I have a friend who lived in NZ for a while and he thinks that we will get a better and cheaper deal booking our hotel for Fiji when we're in New Zealand rather than from the UK before we leave.

We're going to be in Fiji for New Year after a month in New Zealand so I'm a bit concerned about not getting a room if we just turn up or book at the last minute. At the same time, we'll be heading towards the end of our trip and money will likely be getting a bit tight.

Does anyone have any experience of this? Any advice would be really appreciated!

Yes, the better places, in all budget categories, can be booked up in advance for Christmas and New Year's. I'd contact places directly via e-mail and see what deals you can get in advance.
