Christmas in Fiji

Hello again! We have booked our stay at Octopus and are working hard to plan the rest of our trip. The other concern I have is that we are traveling during the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Should we plan to stay at a resort on Christmas to make the most of our time there (I don't want to be stuck in a hotel in Nadi with nothing to do!)? What kinds of closures or restrictions can we expect on those days (transportation, food, etc.)? Thanks again!
