Crazy amounts of rain in Fiji?Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hello! My family and I have an open Circle Pacific ticket and are currently scheduled to go to Auckland for 4 nights but we're thinking Fiji or another warm tropical island will be more fun for our 3 year old. I checked the weather history of the island and it looks like March (when we are traveling - March 23-27) it is the rainiest month of the year...but the weather seems warmer there than Auckland or Sydney. Any suggestions? Is it crazy rain in March or passing showers? Any helpful advice on choosing between these 2 and/or about Fiji weather in late March would be SO appreciated!
I'm pretty sure a 3 year old won't really care one way or the other... March is the ideal time to visit NZ, and for only 4 days, it gives you far more options than you'd have in Fiji - especially with a kid in tote. | 1
Thanks for that info. We are SO foreign to the entire South Pacific it is hard to know where the best places to go are! Are there any family outings you think would be especially fun/interesting in Auckland? | 2
Better to ask questions about Auckland on the Australia New Zealand branch. | 3
Thanks, but if you read the thread title and the actual post, I was asking if there was a ton of rain in Fiji in March, as we were trying to decide between Auckland or Fiji, but were wondering if it was the "rainy" season in Fiji and wanted to know more about Fijian weather at this time of year. | 4
