DAY TRIP TO MAMANUCA / YASAWA FROM VITI LEVU

We would like to make a day trip from Viti Levu (we stay near Nadi) to some smaller island. Do anybody has a recommendation about which one and how to get there?

Day-trips to selected islands are offered by every travel agent in Nadi.

In the Yasawas, I would choose Waya, in the Mamanucas Castaway or Bounty.

The South Sea Cruises do the main day trips to the Mamanucas from the marina at Denarau. Their website will give you a list of the trips available, time on the island, what's included and cost. I can recommend the Mana Island trip - far enough out to get a look at some of the other islands on the way but close enough to get 6 hours there - big enough to explore and amazing to swim or snorkel!

Definitely the Mamanucas so you don't waste too much time on the ferry. I think the snorkeling is better there than the Yasawas. Those reefs are dying unfortunately - many have pointed that out.
