Denarau Day Trips

I am staying on Denarau island at the Westin for four days in November for my honeymoon. I know its more "ideal" to stay on one of the islands but we were given the hotel stay as a gift.

There seems to be several options for day trips from Denarau. I am wondering:

-What is the best company/cruise to see the islands (not looking for just a "booze cruise")
-Best day trip for snorkeling/beginner diving
-Is it possible to visit a traditional village/school from Denarau? If so, how would you set it up?

from Denarau. They offer quite a few choices of islands, to both the Mamanucas and the
Yasawas. Because you mentioned diving- I'd recommend going to Waya Island on their
cruise to the Octopus Resort as it has a great reef for diving and also a Fijian village you
can visit. (There are four villages on Waya) If you're skin-diving, you may have time to
work in a village visit on the same day. It's about a 90-minute boat trip out to Waya. This
is a visually stunning volcanic island with Likuliku beach making a top-ten list for world's

For scenery and snorkeling, my vote might just go for the day-trip to Monoriki where the movie Castaway was shot. On the way there and back, you will stop by many other islands in the Mamanuca group.
However Monoriki is an uninhabited island, so if diving OR village visits have to be done on the same trip, Waya would indeed be better - though a day-trip would certainly be too short to both dive and visit a village from Octopus.

We are going to be planning two day trips...So one to Octopus and one to Monoriki?

Sounds like a great plan! The beaches on the offshore islands are really the ones to see for ideal Fiji.
