Family friendly hotels that don't break the budget

Hi,
I'm flying into Nadi with husband and 2 kids 16-15Aug. We've never been and we don't have anywhere to stay yet. All the hotels that come up on popular searches seem to be $300+ a night. Can anyone recommend something cheaper but still friendly and nice? We'd like to be a bit adventurous and get away from the main touristy places, happy to travel a bit further, but still after a relaxing time. Any advice please?

I like First Landing Resort which is out of Nadi.
I found it more affordable and quite comfortable.
There was an Australian manager when I stayed who ran the place really well.

not sure on your actual dates, did you mean 15-16 Aug, is it a stopover on the way to somewhere else.
