Fiji border control

Hi,

Soon travelling to Fiji.

What should we prepare for passport control? Is there a form to be filled? Do we have to show reservations have to show?

Is there biometrics - face photo / fingerprint?

If someone had been there recently would love to know the details

not sure if you have read this, but countries listed only have to have a return ticket arranged, you are not allowed to board without one. there is an entry form to fill in on the plane and give to immigration and customs on arrival. they do xray all bags and do not allow certain foods into the country, eg honey, dirt on shoes etc

Last time I went to Fiji in 2013 (my 16th visit) I was asked what hotel I was staying in (this was at Fiji immigration). I never, ever, pre-book hotels for Fiji and have never been asked this on any previous trip, so I was quite surprised. The immigration officer wasn't happy with this and said I had to have pre-booked accommodation, but when I said that this was my 16th visit and that I had never pre-booked before, he rather grudgingly notated my email address. I hardly ever to never check emails when travelling, but what the hey.
